Devenish aims to achieve this through the implementation and maintenance of a robust health and safety management system with supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Our system combines clear leadership by management and participation of all employees and functions.
To enable health and safety to be managed effectively we have developed a documented health and safety management system which is aligned to the requirements of ISO 45001 the Health and Safety Management Standard. This policy and system defines our requirements and responsibilities and is communicated to our employees and those under our control.
In our activities we will:

- Ensure our workforce are trained and competent
- Comply with applicable legal requirements and other requirements
- Follow or exceed best practices
- Provide the necessary resources and support for our employees to carry out their duties
All employees and suppliers of services and/or materials are required to comply with the company in carrying out this policy and must ensure that their own work, so far is reasonably practicable, is carried out without risk to health and safety of themselves or others.
The responsibility for determining, effectively implementing, and annually reviewing the company's policies on health and safety lies with the Board of Devenish.
The performance of the company is measured against targets and objectives aligned with the board, which are monitored and reviewed on a regular basis.
