Devenish is delighted to be shortlisted by the CIPD for the second year in a row in two categories:
Celebrating the best in HR and people management in Northern Ireland, the CIPD awards identify and recognise organisations that are championing better work, and better working lives.
Speaking about the award, Gillian McAuley, Group HR Director at Devenish, said: "I am very proud of our team for being shortlisted for the CIPD Awards. Over the last few years, we have focused on building an exceptional HR team to support the delivery of our strategic aim of being a Great Place to Work and it is great to see this being recognised."
As the business has grown, the HR team within Devenish has been developed with a focus on building a strong business partner model to support all aspects of the group from the North West Europe and International animal nutrition divisions as well as the Global Innovation Centre, Humanativ, Agrinewal and Uganda. The HR team has supported each of these areas in addressing their business needs and building and growing the business.
The team covers Human Resources, Learning & Development, Payroll and Health & Safety and is working hard to deliver excellence in each of those areas. Some of the key areas of focus for the HR team over the last while have been: leading the organisation safely through Covid and in developing its Talent Management programme which includes the Devenish Academy. We are passionate about developing and inspiring talent by providing everyone the opportunity to build on their skills, enhance their performance, and reach new goals. Innovative initiatives including the rollout of Insights, the Devenish Graduate Programme, internal Apprenticeship Programme, Early Talent Programme and Devenish Doctoral Programme in conjunctions with Queen's University Belfast have been introduced.
This year, the awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 7 October at the Crowne Plaza Belfast, with a virtual event option for those that cannot be there in person.
