The Role:

Reporting to the Production Shift Manager, this role is based within a busy production and manufacturing environment.  You will be responsible for supporting the efficient manufacture of products while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and operational performance.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with Site Operations Management and the Production Shift Manager to support the delivery of all Key Performance Indicators and operational targets.
• Operate machinery manually in accordance with standard operating procedures and all health and safety requirements.
• Ensure full compliance with all operating procedures when using machinery or forklift trucks.
• Maintain adherence to all quality standards and production specifications.
• Carry out daily hygiene and housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Take responsibility for health, safety, and environmental standards within your area of work, ensuring safe practices for yourself and others.
• Proactively report any health, safety, or environmental concerns to the appropriate managers.

Desirable Criteria:

• Previous experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.

Essential Criteria:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
• Ability to work rotating shift rota pattern (Day and Night Shifts)
• An ability to work on own initiative but also to work collaboratively with others
• Ability to work shift working pattern
• Ability to work independently using initiative, while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
• Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to respond positively to changing production demands.
