What are the benefits to producers?
Devenish performed an owner perception trial where 21 dogs received their standard diet with or without this supplementation for a 3-week feeding period. The supplementation was then removed for another 3-week feeding period. Throughout both periods, owners scored faecal characteristics (quality, odour and ease of pick up), coat shine and breath odour at weekly intervals. Owners recorded significant improvements in all scores when DeviGuard CA was added. Removal of supplementation saw a return to base value for faecal characteristics and breath odour, while the effect on coat shine was maintained.
