Buffering capacity
Soluble magnesium gram for gram has four times the buffering capacity of calcium. Mag12 has an optimum ratio of magnesium and calcium, which results in it being a more effective buffer.
It works instantly on ingestion whilst having a persistency that allows it to buffer in a manner that best complements the ruminal pH challenge. Mag12 is much better than alternative products at holding the pH at the desired level which maximises Feed Conversion Efficiency compared to alkalising agents.
