DiNAMIC

DiNAMIC is a high LPL content, cost-effective dietary emulsifier aimed at improving fat digestion and utilisation, improving animal performance and reducing the cost of feed. 

In a ruminant animal, this is a three stage process - Lipolysis and biohydrogenation, emulsification and absorption 

1. Ruminants’ diets contain predominantly Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids (PUFA’s) from plant triglyceride’s and glycolipids. Lipolysis is completed via the lipase enzymes secreted by bacteria in the rumen. The fatty acids separated from the glycerol backbone via lipolysis or hydrolysis undergo biohydrogenation. More than 90% of the saturated fatty acids will be biohydrogenated. Monoglycerides and diglycerides remain in the rumen. Triglyceride’s will pass to the abomasum and then the small intestine. 

2. The lipids after hydrogenation leave the rumen as free fatty acids (85 - 90%) and phospholipids (10 - 15%). These fats are broken down into smaller molecules by the emulsification action of bile in the abomasum. The aim of dietary emulsifiers is to optimise the formation of micelles during this process. 

3. The micelle structures allow fat to be easily absorbed across the cell membranes in the intestinal tract, making the nutrients more readily available for use by the animal.
